Who is Red Pen?
Red Pen Writing & Editing is owned and operated by Elizabeth Pressler-Henderson, professional writer, editor, and public relations consultant.
Elizabeth has a BA in English with a minor in Communication and a MA in English with emphasis in Creative Studies and Poetry. In addition to instructing college level composition and grammar courses as well as guiding grammar remediation workshops, she also has extensive experience writing, editing, proofreading, and desktop publishing for businesses. Elizabeth has also served as Public Relations Coordinator for a lage, local non-profit, providing her with extensive experience in writing and publishing newsletters, brochures, and special publications.
What is Red Pen’s Philosophy?
Whether it is meant to be read silently or delivered verbally, good writing is vital to modern professional and academic communication. The written word organizes our thoughts, informs and persuades audiences, and moves the heart.
Red Pen recognizes that:
- as the primary purpose of most writing is to disseminate information or convey a message, clarity is the key to good writing.
